a peace treaty

Oak has quickly become one of my favorite retailers. I feel blessed that they've take the opportunity to open their audience beyond lucky New Yorkers with their online boutique. Everything they sell is amazingly gorgeous and kudos to the photographer with his ability to capture this gorgeousness. If anything, I visit this site like I do with an art gallery.

I got an email from Oak about one of the new lines they are starting to carry- A Peace Treaty. The first though that came to mind was... hmmm... what is this? I have never heard of them before. When I opened the link, I was immediately mesmerized by this delightful eye candy (you can also say neck candy). Always a curious mind, I found out that they are "a new socially conscious label of global artifacts. Operating from the UWS, it’s based on a pact made by two smart ladies (a Pakistani Muslim and Libyan Jew) to raise global awareness." Interesting. They make hand-loomed scarves from Pakistan’s Punjab Province and their workers use ancient crafting techniques to produce the brightly colored checks and plaids.

Can I have one of each please?

adab handkerchief scarf $126

borderlines red handkerchief scarf $114

borderlines yellow handkerchief scarf $116

capsicum handkerchief scarf $105

gundum handkerchief scarf $115

niani handkerchief scarf $126

very nice collection of scarfs but quite pricey, huh? Well, maybe it's because I'm a student and never paid more than 10€ before for a scarf :)

When I was obsessed with Leigh & Luca scarves which are 2-4 times more, I'm okay with these prices. If I get a nice coupon code, be sure that I will buy one!

oooh I want one, I adore bulky scarves! xx

<3 fashion chalet... FYI, you can buy one of these scarves direct from a peace treaty and the prices are a bit cheaper.
